Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of New Year's festivities!

This year's event boasts some fantastic rewards, including a boosted 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. Enjoy the immersive atmosphere with festive decorations and fireworks illuminating the skies!

Keep an eye out for special Pokémon appearances! Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat) will be more common, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms.

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are increased for all three!
