Pokémon Pocket's January 2025 Wonder Pick Event: A Comprehensive Guide

Pokémon Pocket's January Wonder Pick Event offers players the chance to snag two new Promo-A cards: Charmander (P-A 032) and Squirtle (P-A 033), boasting updated artwork while retaining original stats and moves. The event also features missions rewarding Event Shop Tickets, redeemable for themed accessories. This guide covers both parts of the event.

January Wonder Pick Event Part 1 Details

Part 1 runs for two weeks, providing opportunities to obtain the new Promo-A cards via the Wonder Pick system.

Acquiring Promo-A Squirtle and Charmander

Both Part 1 and Part 2 offer "Bonus" and "Rare" Wonder Picks with varying drop rates for the Promo-A Squirtle and Charmander.

Bonus Wonder Picks: These free picks offer a chance at one of the Promo-A cards (or their standard variants), plus Wonder Hourglasses or Event Shop Tickets. Data suggests a 20% chance of a Bonus Pick appearing with each Wonder Pick opportunity.

Rare Wonder Picks: Appearing with a 2.5% chance, Rare Picks guarantee one of the Promo-A cards. The number of slots each card occupies is random (1-4 slots), affecting the overall odds (25% to 80%).

Five missions reward Event Shop Tickets (Blastoise), usable for themed accessories in the "Limited-Time / Events" shop section.

  • Ticket Carryover: Tickets remain until January 29th. (A total of 31 tickets are needed for all items, based on data-mined information).
  • No Notifications: The game doesn't notify you of Bonus or Rare Picks; check regularly.
  • All Picks Count: Any Wonder Pick contributes to mission progress.
  • Strategic Rare Picks: Prioritize Bonus Picks for Promo-A cards; only use Rare Picks if nearing the end and missing the variants.
