Saros Revealed at the February 2025 State of Play
A 2026 Release
Housemarque's Saros, a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro exclusive, is slated for release in 2026. Building upon the success of Returnal, this new IP promises to refine and expand on the thrilling third-person action gameplay. The game will feature Arjun Devraj, portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli.
Evolving Gameplay: Come Back Stronger
According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived as a separate entity to allow Returnal to stand alone. This new IP will iterate on Returnal's narrative and mechanics. Unlike Returnal's constantly shifting roguelike environments, Saros will incorporate persistent and evolving loadouts—weapons and suits—allowing players to "Come Back Stronger" and overcome challenges.
Further gameplay details will be revealed later in 2025.
