"Silent Hill f Blends Horror and Anime Music"

Author : Jonathan May 05,2025

During the highly anticipated Silent Hill Transmission livestream on March 14, Konami unveiled the newest addition to the iconic horror series, Silent Hill f. This upcoming title is set to captivate players with a narrative crafted by the acclaimed Ryukishi07, the mastermind behind the psychological horror visual novel When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni). Known for his intricate storytelling and mastery of suspense, Ryukishi07's involvement has ignited excitement among fans of both Silent Hill and his previous works.

Adding to the anticipation, the game's soundtrack will be enriched with contributions from Dai and Xaki, renowned composers celebrated for their anime scores. Their collaboration with Silent Hill series veterans Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage promises to create an immersive auditory experience that elevates the game's chilling atmosphere.

Ryukishi07 shared his enthusiasm for bringing Dai and Xaki on board, noting their significant impact on his past projects. He specifically requested their involvement to enhance key scenes within Silent Hill f, stating:

These two musicians have always helped make my projects better. For Silent Hill f, I specifically asked them to focus on scenes I wanted to make particularly expressive.

Dai's entry into the music industry is a story of passion and opportunity. Initially a fan, he once wrote a letter to Ryukishi07 critiquing the use of free music in one of his games. Instead of dismissing the feedback, Ryukishi07 challenged Dai to compose his own soundtrack. Impressed by Dai's talent, the team eventually incorporated his work into their projects, marking the beginning of a successful collaboration.

Silent Hill f is currently in development for PC, available through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. With Ryukishi07's gripping storytelling and the evocative compositions by Dai and Xaki, the game aims to deliver a haunting experience that pushes the boundaries of horror gaming.

As fans eagerly await its release, the collaboration between these creative minds underscores the potential of Silent Hill f to become a standout entry in the legendary series.
