"Stellar Mercenaries Launches Jupiter Expansion for Vertical-Scrolling Shooter"

Stellar Mercenaries has just launched an exciting new upgrade with the Jupiter Expansion, nearly doubling the game's content. This update introduces more worlds, enemies, and missions, enhancing the already thrilling vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter experience. In Stellar Mercenaries, players embark on procedurally generated missions, customize their ships and weapons, and strive to become the most feared mercenary in the solar system.

What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?

The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede is a barren wasteland, Io is covered in volcanic debris, and Europa is a frozen, treacherous landscape. Jupiter itself is teeming with storms, adding to the intensity of the battles.

Two new factions enter the fray: the Jovian Empire, a formidable military force aiming to control the region, and the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws. The expansion introduces 50 new missions with diverse objectives, including hyperspace hunting, piracy, escort missions, and train defense missions.

Players can now pilot six new ships: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, the arsenal expands with new weapons such as the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.

New Hazards, Shields, and More

The update also introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, along with new hazards like asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have been upgraded, with new classes such as Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk adding to the challenge.

To enhance the atmosphere, the expansion includes 14 new music tracks and introduces a new side missions system. Dive into the expanded universe of Stellar Mercenaries by checking it out on the Google Play Store—there's a wealth of new content waiting for you!
