At Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, RGG Studio hosted the "Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience." During the event, Chief Producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto and voice actor Kazuhiro Nakaya hinted at their upcoming project, stating, "We can't reveal the game's genre, but it will surprise you." This was confirmed by @TheYakuzaGuy on Twitter, who also noted that the studio confirmed it as a new Like a Dragon title.
