NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique YoRHa designs, but one stands out for fans of Square Enix: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and stats, accessible during your first playthrough.

Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata

The Engine Blade is located within the factory area, but not during the game's opening sequence. You'll need to progress to a later point in the game as 2B. Alternatively, utilize Chapter Select to directly access Chapter 9 for quicker acquisition. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.

Exiting the access point, veer right, following the path with a 2D camera perspective. You'll pass a fenced area before ascending broken stairs and boarding a conveyor belt with crates. The subsequent conveyor belt features crushing presses; navigate carefully. Jump to the next cylindrical area, where spider-like enemies will appear.

Enter the door to your left, climbing more stairs while dodging falling explosive enemies. Midway, the railing ends, and the platform extends towards the camera. Adjust your position to shift the camera angle, triggering another 2D platforming section. Jump across the presses, following the left path. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest, with a locked chest on the right.

Note: Explosive enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach the chest.
