Author : Zoey May 13,2025

The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova is on the horizon, and it's bringing a slew of exciting updates to the game. As you prepare to dive into the world of Unova, you'll be treated to new music, avatar items, and a special event-exclusive research quest. Let's break down what you can expect from this much-anticipated event.

First up, the event will feature the world premiere of new music inspired by Pokémon Black and White, as well as their sequels. This new soundtrack, composed by the legendary Junichi Masuda, will enhance your exploration, battles, and Pokémon encounters throughout the event.

One of the key highlights of the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova is the choice between Reshiram and Zekrom. Through a new Special Research story titled "It's Not Over Yet," you'll have the opportunity to choose between the Black Version badge (Reshiram) and the White Version badge (Zekrom). Your decision will influence the rewards and bonuses you receive, making this a crucial choice for your gameplay experience.

For those engaging in five-star raids, all Kyurem encountered after defeating Black Kyurem or White Kyurem will know the powerful Charged Attack, Glaciate. If you're attending the in-person events in New Taipei City or Los Angeles, you're in for a treat—every Kyurem encounter will automatically have this attack, regardless of your badge choice.

Fashion enthusiasts will also find plenty to love with the new avatar items. The Go Tour 2025 Tee is up for grabs as the first reward in the free Tour Pass, while upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe unlocks the exclusive Kyurem Helmet. Keep an eye on the in-game shop for the Black Kyurem Wings and White Kyurem Backpack, along with the Shiny Meloetta Tee, which comes with the new Masterwork Research.

For those looking to maximize their event experience, the Road to Unova event add-ons provide additional rewards. The Raids add-on offers raid bonuses and the stylish Black and White Joggers, while the Hatch add-on includes Egg bonuses, Pokémon encounters, and the cozy Black and White Hoodie. Both options come with Timed Research that provides even more rewards.

The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova kicks off on March 1st. Make sure to visit the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on everything you need before the event begins.
