WoW Announces Timewalking II: Embark on Timeless Adventures

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. For seven weeks, starting now and running until February 24th, players can journey through Timewalking campaigns spanning various WoW expansions. This extended event offers a fantastic opportunity to earn a wealth of rewards, including new items, a mountain of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.

This expanded event builds upon the success of the initial Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023, which featured five weeks of Timewalking. The core mechanic returns: completing four Timewalking dungeons unlocks the Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience bonus. This time, however, achieving Mastery of Timeways for at least five out of the seven weeks grants the prestigious Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.

The Timewalking Schedule:

  • January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
  • January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
  • January 21-27: Legion
  • January 28-February 3: Classic
  • February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
  • February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
  • February 18-24: Cataclysm

Beyond the Mastery of Timeways buff, each Timewalking vendor offers new permanent additions to their inventory. The Classic vendor, for example, features Season of Discovery transmogs. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the first Turbulent Timeways event, makes a return for those who missed it. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures, containing Heroic-level gear throughout the event's duration.

More Than Just Timewalking:

The conclusion of the Turbulent Timeways event on February 24th offers a significant clue about upcoming WoW content. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week content release cycle and the recent holiday season, February 25th is strongly suggested as the launch date for Patch 11.1, "Undermined." This aligns with a ten-week gap following Patch 11.0.7. With the Turbulent Timeways, the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th), and the imminent major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025. Get ready for an exciting year!
