Quickfire Rules:
Once the cards are evenly dealt among four players, each player bids by choosing either high (a black card) or low (a red card). The bid cards are revealed one by one, starting left of the dealer. The first black card turned over signifies a 'granded' round, which is played 'high' with teams aiming to win as many tricks as possible. If all bid cards are red, the game is played 'low', where teams try to win as few tricks as possible.
In a high bid round, the player to the right of the 'granded' player leads the first trick. In a low bid round, the player to the left of the dealer starts. Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.
At the end of each round, points are scored based on the number of tricks each partnership has won. In a high bid round, the 'granded' team earns a point for every trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team earns either 1 or 2 points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In a low bid round, a team scores 1 point for each trick under seven.
