A No Trump Partnership Whist game for your smartphone or tablet!

Dive into the engaging world of Minnesota Whist, a delightful variant of the classic whist game that's all the rage in Minnesota and South Dakota. This partnership game is unique because it does not use trumps, making it a refreshing twist for both seasoned card players and newcomers alike. Best of all, it's free to play on your smartphone or tablet, and you can track your stats as you take on smart AI opponents.

The aim of Minnesota Whist varies based on the bid type. For high bids, your goal is to secure seven or more of the thirteen tricks. If it's a low bid, your objective shifts to collecting six or fewer tricks. This dynamic gameplay ensures that every round is filled with strategic excitement.

Minnesota Whist is the perfect card game for honing your skills in partnership trick-taking. As you play, you'll sharpen your strategic thinking and teamwork, making it an ideal way to unwind with a fast-paced and fun game.

Collaborate with your AI partner to outsmart your opponents. Whist is an excellent gateway to mastering various trick-taking games. As you grow in skill, you can crank up the difficulty to hard mode for an even greater challenge!

To emerge victorious, you and your AI partner must be the first to reach the win target, which can be set to either 13 or seven. Keep tabs on your all-time and session stats to monitor your progress as you learn and improve.

Customize your Minnesota Whist experience to suit your preferences:

● Select your preferred win target ● Opt for a "set bonus" if you wish ● Choose between easy, medium, or hard mode ● Decide between normal or fast play ● Play in landscape or portrait mode ● Toggle single click play on or off ● Sort your cards in ascending or descending order ● Replay hands from the play or from the bid ● Review previous hands played throughout the round

Personalize your game further by choosing from various color themes and card decks to keep your gaming environment fresh and engaging!

Quickfire Rules:

Once the cards are evenly dealt among four players, each player bids by choosing either high (a black card) or low (a red card). The bid cards are revealed one by one, starting left of the dealer. The first black card turned over signifies a 'granded' round, which is played 'high' with teams aiming to win as many tricks as possible. If all bid cards are red, the game is played 'low', where teams try to win as few tricks as possible.

In a high bid round, the player to the right of the 'granded' player leads the first trick. In a low bid round, the player to the left of the dealer starts. Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.

At the end of each round, points are scored based on the number of tricks each partnership has won. In a high bid round, the 'granded' team earns a point for every trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team earns either 1 or 2 points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In a low bid round, a team scores 1 point for each trick under seven.
