Amazon's Reacher Season 3 the Most-Watched Prime Video Season Since Fallout

Author : Aaliyah Apr 18,2025

Reacher Season 3 has become a monumental success for Amazon, marking it as the most-watched returning season ever on Prime Video. Since its launch, it has attracted the highest viewership on the platform since *Fallout*, amassing an impressive audience over its first 19 days.

The series follows the adventures of Jack Reacher, portrayed by Alan Ritchson. Reacher, a former major in the U.S. Army's military police, travels across the United States, unwittingly finding himself entangled in various dangerous and mysterious situations. Known for his formidable strength and sharp intellect, Reacher continues to captivate audiences with his thrilling escapades. In Season 3, he faces a formidable adversary in the form of the Dutch giant Olivier Richters, who stands at an imposing 7 feet 2 inches.

According to Variety, Reacher Season 3 garnered a staggering 54.6 million viewers globally within its first 19 days. This viewership number is humorously suggested to be large enough to cover the back of actor Alan Ritchson. The season experienced a slight increase of 0.5% in viewership compared to Season 2 during the same timeframe, indicating that the show's popularity continues to grow. Reacher's appeal extends beyond the U.S., with over half of its audience coming from international markets, particularly showing strong performance in the U.K., Germany, and Brazil.

To put these numbers into perspective, *Fallout* attracted 65 million viewers in its first 16 days in April 2024, while *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power* Season 2 drew 40 million viewers in the 11 days following its August 2024 premiere.

IGN's review of Reacher Season 3 awarded it an impressive 8/10, noting, "Reacher season 3 diverges more from the book upon which it’s based than previous seasons, but Reacher himself is more ruthless than ever and it remains a righteous good time."

Given its overwhelming success, it's no surprise that Reacher Season 4 has already been greenlit, even before Season 3's debut.
