Assassin’s Creed Shadows Roadmap Reveals a Year of Free Content and Story Drops

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has unveiled its exciting year 1 post-launch update roadmap, promising a wealth of new content and story expansions for players in the months ahead. Let's dive into what Ubisoft has planned for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Post-Launch Updates

Year 1 Post-Launch Roadmap

With Assassin’s Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) having been released for over a month, Ubisoft is committed to enhancing the gaming experience through a series of updates. On May 1, Ubisoft shared their year 1 post-launch roadmap on Twitter (X), highlighting a mix of new story and gameplay elements.

One of the standout features is the introduction of Story Drops. These are free content updates that will enrich the game with additional quests. Ubisoft promises that these drops will bring "new player abilities, new allies, new world activities, and provide deeper looks and backstories for some of your favorite characters, each new piece of content expanding on the main game."

Furthermore, fans should keep an eye out for the first expansion, The Claws of Awaji, slated for release later this year. This expansion will take players to the new region of Awaji Island, available post-epilogue of the base game. Expect to encounter new enemies, unlock new abilities for both protagonists, and wield an exclusive new weapon for Naoe.

The Claws of Awaji expansion is complimentary for those who pre-ordered AC Shadows, but it will also be available for purchase to other players. For more detailed information on AC Shadows’ upcoming DLCs and the full roadmap, be sure to check out our comprehensive article below!
