Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Global Release Schedule Unveiled

Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In a departure from the norm for both the Assassin’s Creed series and Ubisoft titles in general, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch worldwide at the same time, with no option for early access through additional payments.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S starting at 12am local time on March 20. However, PC gamers will need to note the different release times depending on the platform: Steam or Ubisoft's Ubi Connect. Pre-load is already available on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, ensuring you can jump into the action the moment it goes live.

The stakes are high for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, as Ubisoft faces pressure to deliver a successful title following several delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft has encountered a series of setbacks including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations leading up to the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

IGN’s review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows awarded it an impressive 8/10, praising the game for refining its existing systems and delivering one of the best open-world experiences in the series over the last decade.
