*Atomfall* offers players the freedom to shape their journey through its story with five distinct playstyle modes, each designed to cater to different player preferences:

  • Sightseer – Ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in the story without the stress of intense combat or survival challenges. Exploration, Survival, and Combat are all set to 'Assisted' difficulty, making it a low-pressure mode.
  • Investigator – Perfect for players who enjoy exploring independently without HUD assistance, while keeping combat manageable. Exploration is set to 'Challenging', Survival to 'Casual', and Combat to 'Assisted'.
  • Brawler – Tailored for players who relish combat and don't mind facing tougher enemies. Combat is set to 'Challenging', while Survival is 'Casual' and Exploration remains 'Assisted'.
  • Survivor – Recommended by the developers, this mode offers a balanced challenge across all aspects of the game. Combat, Survival, and Exploration are all set to 'Challenging'.
  • Veteran – The ultimate test for seasoned players who want to push their skills to the limit. All categories - Combat, Survival, and Exploration - are set to 'Intense' difficulty.

If you find the initial playstyle too demanding or too easy, *Atomfall* allows you to adjust your settings without penalty. Simply pause the game, navigate to 'Options', and under the 'Game' tab, select 'Playstyle'. Here, you can customize the difficulty of Combat, Survival, and Exploration to better suit your play. For even more granular control, delve into 'Advanced Options' to fine-tune every aspect of your gaming experience.

*Atomfall* aims to provide a balanced gaming experience, but the beauty lies in its flexibility to cater to what you find most enjoyable. When starting out, consider beginning with either the **Investigator** or **Brawler** playstyle. These options allow you to gauge your comfort with the game's combat and exploration mechanics. From there, you can refine your playstyle to better match your preferences.

For the ultimate personalized experience, consider crafting a custom playstyle. This option lets you adjust every element of gameplay, from enemy behavior to the ease of exploration and resource management, ensuring your journey through *Atomfall* is exactly as you envision it.

Importantly, *Atomfall* does not tie achievements or trophies to specific difficulty levels, meaning you're free to switch playstyles as often as you like without any repercussions.
