The first major paid DLC, the Crossroads of the World Collection, will be released in two parts. Part one, set for early March, introduces Leader Ada Lovelace, four new Natural Wonders, and the Carthage and Great Britain Civilizations. Part two, slated for late March, will feature Leader Simon Bolívar alongside the Bulgaria and Nepal Civilizations. Alongside these paid expansions, free content will also roll out in March, including the Natural Wonder Battle event and the Bermuda Triangle Natural Wonder in the first half, followed by the Marvelous Mountains event and the Mount Everest Natural Wonder in the second half.
The roadmap doesn't stop there. Firaxis plans to launch the Right Rule Collection in the summer, which will include two new leaders, four new Civilizations, and four New World Wonders. From April through September, players can anticipate a steady stream of free updates and content, ensuring a dynamic and evolving gameplay experience.
Looking further ahead, Firaxis has committed to continued support beyond October 2025. A developer diary blog post also highlighted additional features like team additions to multiplayer games, increased lobby sizes, new map varieties, and modding tools, all promised to be introduced "as soon as we can."
The developer diary further detailed the initial focus on updates, emphasizing bug fixes, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements to enhance the gameplay and user interface. Regular updates in these areas are expected to keep the game fresh and engaging.
