Dredge Mobile Port Delayed to 2024; Closed Beta in December

Author : Christopher Dec 12,2024

The mobile port of Dredge, Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, has been delayed until February 2025. However, the developers have announced a new closed beta with open registration to soften the blow.

Dredge casts players as a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the task is straightforward: fishing and selling to the locals. But the idyllic façade quickly crumbles, revealing bizarre deep-sea creatures, mysterious entities, and a creeping sense of madness. The unnerving events unfolding on a nearby island only amplify the unsettling atmosphere.

Interested players can register for the closed beta via a Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical praise Dredge has received indicate it's a title worth waiting for, especially for those who haven't experienced it yet.

yt A Challenging Fishing Expedition

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Porting such a vast and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and providing more individuals a chance to experience this unique blend of horror and fishing gameplay.
