Demon Mode/Demon Gauge and Archdemon Mode

The Dual Blades feature a unique Demon Gauge. Demon Mode boosts stats and grants knockback immunity but drains stamina. Successful attacks in Demon Mode fill the Demon Gauge. A full gauge activates Archdemon Mode, which depletes over time but allows access to powerful, gauge-consuming attacks. Both modes are usable simultaneously; the Demon Gauge stops depleting while mounted.

Demon Dodge

Triggered by a Perfect Evade, Demon Dodge increases damage (regular and elemental) and allows attacking during dodges, providing a 12-second damage buff. Subsequent dodges during this buff inflict additional spinning damage.

Combos

Dual Blades combos revolve around Demon and Archdemon Modes.

Basic Combo: Three chained Triangle/Y attacks (Double Slash, Double Slash Return Stroke, Circle Slash).

Alternative Quick Combo: Circle/B Demon Flurry Rush – Spinning Slash – Double Roundslash (rapid Demon Gauge filling).

Demon Mode Basic Combo: Demon Fangs, Twofold Demon Slash, Sixfold Demon Slash, finishing with Triangle/Y + Circle/B (Demon Flurry I).

Archdemon Mode Blade Dance Combo: Blade Dance (Triangle/Y + Circle/B), followed by four R2/RT presses (Demon Flurry I into Blade Dance II, then Demon Flurry II and Blade Dance III).

Always Follow Up: Start with the basic Demon Flurry Rush combo to transition into Demon or Archdemon Mode combos (Circle/B + Circle/B + Circle/B, then three Triangle/Y + Circle/B).

Maintain Stamina: Demon Mode relies on stamina. Use Focus Strike on wounds to fill the Demon Gauge without continuous stamina drain.

Dodge Between Attacks: Utilize frequent dodges due to the lack of defensive options.

Sharpen Regularly: Frequent attacks necessitate frequent sharpening. The Speed Sharpening skill is highly recommended.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
