Mastering the Flare Knife in Freedom Wars Remastered

Freedom Wars Remastered presents players with intense battles against formidable Abductors. To succeed, utilizing every tool is crucial. The Flare Knife, a powerful combat item, provides a significant advantage in severing Abductor limbs. This guide details how to acquire and effectively use the Flare Knife.

Acquiring the Flare Knife

The Flare Knife is surprisingly accessible early in the game. Once you reach Level 003 Code Clearance, visit Zakka in The Warren. Zakka's inventory includes the Flare Knife, purchasable for 3,000 Entitlement Points.

Equip the Flare Knife via the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal. Select an available Combat Item slot; the Flare Knife will be listed if you've purchased it.

Utilizing the Flare Knife

The Flare Knife is specifically designed for severing Abductor parts, a reusable tool invaluable for players favoring Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons. However, remember it's a single-use item; repurchase is necessary for subsequent Operations.

To employ the Flare Knife, target the severable Abductor part and use your Thorn to grapple onto it. With the Flare Knife equipped, a sever option appears. A quick-time event (QTE) follows, requiring rapid button mashing to successfully sever the limb. Be aware: Abductors may interrupt the process by leaping or crashing.

Cooperative online play offers an advantage. Snare the Abductor repeatedly with your teammates to significantly simplify the severing process.
