If you're an Android player of *Genshin Impact*, you're in for a treat. The long-awaited controller support is finally making its way to the game with the upcoming Version 5.5 update. iOS users have enjoyed this feature since 2021, and now it's Android's turn to experience the joy of playing with a controller.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025. On this date, you’ll be able to connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Teyvat without relying on the touchscreen. The update will support four types of controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind that all these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.
But that’s not all Version 5.5 has to offer. Alongside controller support, the update will introduce other quality-of-life improvements. One of the standout features is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to seamlessly follow quests across different areas. Just open the map and teleport directly to your desired destination.
Newer players will benefit from updated boss guides that provide better insights into enemy mechanics. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set for optimizations. More details on these updates will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
