"Guide: Throwing Rocks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2"

Author : Jack Apr 05,2025

While it might not be as thrilling as engaging in open combat, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* offers a robust stealth system that allows players to sneak past enemies. A key component of this system is the ability to throw rocks, which can be a game-changer in your stealth strategy. Here's how you can master this technique.

How To Throw Rocks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

It's crucial to understand that you can only throw rocks while in stealth mode. To enter stealth, click the right stick on your controller or press C on your PC. Once in stealth, depending on your platform, press and hold the following button to prepare your throw:

  • PlayStation: R1
  • Xbox: RB
  • PC: G

As you hold the button, Henry's right hand will appear on the screen, ready with a pebble. A small crosshair will also appear, guiding you to where the rock will land. Once you've aimed at your desired location, release the button to throw the rock.

Tips and Tricks for Throwing Rocks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The beauty of rock throwing in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is that rocks are unlimited, so you don't need to worry about running out or retrieving them. This allows you to focus on your stealth tactics without interruption.

Keep in mind that the pebbles Henry throws create a relatively small noise radius. To maximize their effectiveness, ensure your target is close to where you aim. If you manage to hit objects like cups or plates, the noise will be sharper, potentially drawing more attention.

When executed correctly, enemies will be drawn to the sound, giving you the opportunity to either take them down stealthily or continue your mission undetected. Be cautious, though; hitting an enemy directly with a rock will immediately cause a commotion.

Rocks also serve another purpose: knocking down bird nests. These are scattered throughout the game's world and can contain valuable items like eggs, which offer minor nourishment, or even dice badges if you're fortunate.

That's all you need to know about throwing rocks in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and guides, The Escapist has a wealth of information, including how to acquire the best horse or how to sell stolen goods, should you choose to continue your thieving adventures.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
