Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Announces Open Arena Mode Testing

Unfrozen Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, offering a captivating glimpse into the game's core mechanics, diverse units, and overall strategic gameplay. This exciting trailer coincides with the announcement of closed beta registration for the game's "Arena" mode. Players can request access via the Steam page, with the beta test running from March 17th to March 28th.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access launch in Q2 2025. At launch, players can expect six distinct factions, three engaging single-player modes, and three competitive multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is partnering with Unfrozen Games on publishing this highly anticipated title.

Recently, the Dungeon faction was revealed, introducing a formidable roster of units including troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These unique units add a significant layer of strategic depth to the battlefield.

Unfrozen Games openly discussed the challenges faced during the development of the Arena mode, specifically addressing the complexities of balancing hero skills and ensuring fair gameplay within the constraints of limited space and starting advantages. They have successfully overcome these hurdles, promising a polished and enjoyable competitive experience.

While a precise release date for the PC version later this year remains unannounced, the developers are diligently working to create a game that will resonate with both seasoned Heroes of Might & Magic veterans and newcomers alike.
