Immerse in the Audio RPG Universe with F.I.S.T.

Do you know Sound Realms, the audio RPG platform that has a couple of games like The Fortress of Death, Mace & Magic and Call of Cthulhu? It now has another exciting game on its roster. F.I.S.T., the first interactive telephone RPG that the world had seen, is now a part of Sound Realms.Yes, Steve Jackson’s F.I.S.T. is making a comeback and this time it’s getting the full audio treatment on Sound Realms. First launched back in 1988, F.I.S.T. stands for Fantasy Interactive Scenarios by Telephone. For anyone who’s into classic tabletop gaming, the name Steve Jackson might ring a bell. The mastermind behind Fighting Fantasy, he collaborated with Computerdial for the original F.I.S.T.. And it was quite revolutionary at the time.Back in the day, players could literally use their landline to dial in choices in a choose-your-own-adventure style story. Instead of flipping pages in a book, they were flipping through phone prompts, guiding their way through an audio adventure long before apps and touchscreens existed.Catch these trailers belowfenyeYou Can Play F.I.S.T. On Sound Realms Now, How Thrilling Is That? You can now journey through the treacherous Castle Mammon, battling monsters, seeking treasure and trying to survive the deadly clutches of Kaddis Ra, the demon prince. Don’t worry, you don’t need to punch numbers on an old rotary dial phone! It’s a touchscreen-friendly game now.
Sound Realms has decked the new F.I.S.T. out with full voice performances, orchestral music and sound effects. But I’m not sure if some of the features from the original, like the iconic Black Claw Tavern (where players could chat with each other), will make a return.
So, if you’re looking for a classic, old game, you can check out F.I.S.T. on Sound Realms. Head over to the Google Play Store and grab the audio RPG. It’s free to play.
