How To Increase Ranks In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Author : Thomas Mar 17,2025

In the action-packed world of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, your rank—essentially your level—is key to victory, especially when facing formidable foes like Lu Bu. Climbing the ranks unlocks significant advantages, turning the tide of even the most challenging battles. So, how do you achieve this crucial upgrade?

Leveling Up in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Your journey begins at rank one. Progress is earned through combat, but it's not simply about racking up enemy kills. Your rank is intrinsically linked to weapon proficiency. You start with a single level 1 sword, but as you engage in battles, your skill with that weapon—and subsequently your rank—increases. This proficiency isn't solely determined by the number of enemies vanquished; it also considers your usage of Battle Arts (special abilities), the variety of your combo attacks (avoiding repetitive basic combos), and overall experimentation with combat styles. The more diverse your approach, the greater the reward.

As your weapon proficiency grows, so too does your rank. Rank increases grant substantial boosts to health, attack power, and defense. At specific rank milestones, you'll unlock additional perks, such as increased Bravery (allowing more frequent Battle Arts usage) and access to new skill trees for further stat enhancements.

While you begin with a single sword, Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers a diverse arsenal of nine unique weapons to master. Each weapon possesses distinct properties and excels in different situations. Experimenting with various weapons during battles is encouraged, ensuring each receives sufficient experience points and maximizing your overall progression. The more you explore the game's mechanics, the faster you'll climb the ranks.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
