Lokko is an upcoming mobile, PC and PS5 project from Sony\'s India Hero Project

Author : Max Mar 17,2025

Meet Lokko, a vibrant new 3D platformer from Appy Monkeys, an India-based developer partnered with Sony's India Hero Project. This exciting game offers cross-play functionality across mobile, PC, and PS5, complete with DualShock controller support on all platforms.

India's game development scene is burgeoning, and Lokko is a prime example. Developed through Sony's India Hero Project, an incubator supporting Indian developers, Lokko features extensive level editors and a deep avatar creator. The premise? Deliver pizzas on time while battling the greedy Goobol food corporation.

What truly sets Lokko apart is its seamless cross-platform play and DualShock compatibility across all platforms. This innovative approach opens the game up to a vast audience, regardless of their preferred gaming device.

Lokko-motion

Lokko cleverly blends familiar elements from successful modern games. Think character customization, user-generated levels, and a charming low-poly art style reminiscent of Roblox. However, backed by PlayStation's support, Lokko has the potential to become a strong competitor in the platformer genre.

While the gameplay might not be revolutionary, Appy Monkeys' vision is promising. Lokko's accessibility and cross-platform features are a significant step forward. We eagerly anticipate future projects from the India Hero Project.

While a precise release date for Lokko is yet to be announced (sometime this year is the current target), you can explore another fantastic cross-platform indie title: Dredge, the eldritch fishing simulator from Black Salt Games!
