If you're a fan of *League of Legends* and have enjoyed *Balatro*, you're in for a treat with the new minigame, Demon’s Hand, available in the *League* client until the end of April. This card game introduces a unique twist to your gaming experience, blending strategy and luck in a thrilling way.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

To dive into Demon’s Hand, ensure your *League* client is up to date. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. This will launch you into an engaging story mode before your first round begins.

Your interface displays your hand at the bottom, with your health, coins, and critical hit chance in the bottom right. Above that is the Sigil box, which can hold up to six active Sigils, although you start with none. Health isn’t automatically restored after battles; instead, seek out tent locations on the map to regain health.

The enemy card is positioned at the top of the screen, with its health and damage indicated at the bottom right and left corners, respectively. An attack coin to the left of the enemy card shows how many hands you can play before the enemy strikes back. On the left edge of the screen, a book lists all possible hands you can play and their base damage in a standard round.

To attack, you'll need to play poker hands, each with a unique name in Demon’s Hand but following traditional poker rules. The pinnacle of hands is The Demon’s Hand, a royal flush, which deals an impressive 2000 base damage. Here’s a breakdown of the hands and their corresponding poker terms:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

Each hand's damage is augmented by the numerical value of the cards played. However, if an enemy has an ability that nullifies a specific suit, those cards will be crossed out, and their value won’t contribute to the damage.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils, which you can purchase during store phases marked by coins on the map, add another layer of strategy. You earn coins by defeating enemies and can use them to buy Sigils with various effects. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like increasing Dyad damage, while others might grant additional turns before enemy attacks or reduce incoming damage.

This guide should give you a solid foundation for mastering Demon’s Hand in *League of Legends*. If card games aren’t your style, keep an eye out for the upcoming April Fools skins, adding a fun twist to your time on Summoner’s Rift.
