New/Expired Members: Get PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium for $99.99 Annually

Author : Aria Apr 09,2025

Sony has launched an exciting new discount for PlayStation Plus members in the US and select European countries. If your membership has expired or you're a new member, you can now subscribe to either the Extra or Premium tier at a significantly reduced rate. This offer, which runs until February 24, sets both the Extra and Premium tiers at the same price: $99.99 for a full year. This represents a 25% discount on the Extra plan, which normally costs $134.99, and a 37% discount on the Premium plan, typically priced at $159.99.

For those weighing their options, the Premium tier offers everything included in the Extra tier, plus additional benefits such as access to classic games, game trials, and cloud streaming. Given that both tiers are priced the same under this promotion, opting for Premium seems like the best choice. Just remember to cancel auto-renewal to avoid a higher bill once the promotional period ends.

This discount is exclusively for users whose PlayStation Plus memberships have expired. Current subscribers cannot stack this deal onto their existing plans, and cancelling a membership now won't make you eligible. If your current PS Plus plan is set to expire after February 24, you won't be able to take advantage of this offer.

The promotion is available only in North America and select European countries, with the UK and other regions excluded. Notably, the Essential tier is not included in this promotion, following Sony's trend of offering discounts on higher-tier memberships. While Essential members can upgrade at a prorated cost, there's no direct discount on 12-month Essential plans.

This deal coincides with the announcement of February's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which includes major titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, TopSpin 2K25, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1. Premium members will also enjoy new classic titles, such as Patapon 3 and Dropship: United Peace Force.

PlayStation Plus Premium is down to $99.99 for 12-months until February 24.
