Death Stranding enthusiasts, brace yourselves—Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is heading your way this June! The highly anticipated sequel has been making waves, and franchise star Norman Reedus recently shared intriguing insights about the game and its potential film adaptation during an interview with IGN.
When asked if he’d consider portraying his character in a future movie adaptation—announced last month to be in development by Michael Sarnoski and A24—Reedus responded enthusiastically, “If it was an option, yeah, for sure.” He added, “I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course.”

We also touched base with Reedus regarding his initial confusion surrounding the first game. Despite lingering uncertainty, he expressed unwavering trust in creator Hideo Kojima. “As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at,” Reedus noted. “He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to.”
Regardless of the twists and turns, Reedus remains thoroughly engaged. “It’s always a trip working on those things,” he told IGN. “It’s great, but it’s wild.”
Prepare yourself for the next chapter of the Death Stranding saga as Death Stranding 2: On The Beach launches on June 26, 2025.
