Parallel Experiment's Steam launch delayed to June, syncing with mobile versions

Author : Anthony May 15,2025

Parallel Experiment, the eagerly awaited cooperative puzzler from Eleven Puzzles, faced some unforeseen development hurdles that delayed its initial Steam launch planned for March. Fans can now mark their calendars for June 5th, when the game will simultaneously release on PC via Steam, as well as on Android and iOS devices.

Originally, the developers contemplated scaling back optional puzzles, additional mechanics, and even the mobile version to meet the earlier deadline. Thankfully, this decision was reconsidered, ensuring that all versions will launch together, complete with crossplay functionality right from the start.

In Parallel Experiment, players step into the shoes of detectives Ally and Old Dog, who find themselves ensnared in a sinister experiment masterminded by the Cryptic Killer. To progress, players must collaborate to solve a series of interconnected puzzles that demand teamwork and effective communication.

The game boasts over 80 challenges, ranging from deciphering ciphers to redirecting water flows, hacking computers, and even dealing with a drunken character. Set against a noir-inspired backdrop with a comic book art style, players will be thrust into an intense, time-sensitive mystery.

ytBut it's not all high-stakes puzzle-solving. Between the main challenges, players can engage in retro-style mini-games such as darts, claw machines, and match-three puzzles, each with a cooperative twist to keep the gameplay dynamic and engaging.

While awaiting the release, you can explore other top puzzlers available on iOS to keep your skills sharp.

Interactive dialogues add depth to the mystery, with NPCs responding in real-time to the actions of both detectives. For a bit of fun, players can also playfully annoy their partners by knocking on windows, shaking their screens, or leaving cheeky doodles in their detective notebooks.

With five times the content of their previous project, Parallel Experiment promises to elevate cooperative gaming experiences to new heights. The game is set to launch on June 5th, and you can find more details on the Steam page.
