As initially reported by Game*Spark, Atlus is actively seeking a new project manager to join the Persona development team. The job listing, titled "Project Manager (Persona Team)," calls for someone with experience in IP and AAA game development to oversee the franchise's production and management. Other job listings were also posted, however they weren't indicated as roles for the "Persona Team." Nonetheless, these included positions such as 2D character designer, UI designer, and Narrative Designer.

This job listing report comes following earlier comments from game director Kazuhisa Wada, who mentioned that the company’s mid-to-long-term plans include producing new entries for the series. While no official announcement has been made regarding Persona 6, the recently spotted job listings could suggest that Atlus is gearing up for its next major title in the beloved RPG franchise.

Persona Job Listing Crop Up Amid Persona 6 Speculations

It’s been nearly eight years since the launch of Persona 5. During this time, fans have seen numerous spin-offs, remakes, and ports, but little is known about the next mainline Persona installment. Hints about "Persona 6" have occasionally emerged through teases and rumors.

Rumors dating back to 2019 suggested that Persona 6 was being developed alongside the more recent Persona title releases, such as P5 Tactica and P3R, which fueled speculation about the commencement of project development on a new major release. With P3R becoming one of the fastest-selling games in the series' history, reaching one million copies sold within its first month, the momentum behind the franchise is stronger than ever. It has been speculated that Persona 6 could be aiming for a 2025 or 2026 release. While the timeline remains uncertain, we suspect that an official announcement may not be far off.
