Pirates Outlaws 2: Acclaimed Roguelike Deckbuilder Returns with Sequel

Fabled Game Studio is making Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the sequel to their 2019 hit Pirates Outlaws. A roguelike deck-builder that players love but with better features than the last one. The full release is expected to hit in 2025 on Android, iOS, PC via Steam and Epic Games.Fabled Game is hosting an open beta test on Steam from October 25th to 31st. Mobile players might need to wait for a bit longer though. If you’re ready for an adventure at sea again, you first need to know what the changes are.So, What’s New?In Pirates Outlaws 2, you’ll be stepping into the shoes of a new hero. His backstory takes place years after the first Pirates Outlaws timeline. The hero will start with premade decks and unique ability cards. But it doesn’t stop there.Pirates Outlaws 2 is introducing companions, who will bring their own special cards. And speaking of cards, you’ll get a new fusion mechanic now. Collect three identical cards and they will merge into something stronger. There will be an evolution tree that lets you level up your deck, and you get to pick how that plays out. Trash cards won’t be trash cards anymore since everything can get an upgrade! Relics won’t show up after every fight anymore. You’ll find them in markets, after boss battles or even in special events. The battles have a new Countdown system. It’ll affect how enemy actions play out. Instead of hitting an End Turn button, you’ll now be hitting ReDraw. Then there’s a new armour and shield system as well, apparently. On that note, catch a glimpse of Pirates Outlaws 2 below!

Are You Excited For Pirates Outlaws 2?Even with all the new mechanics, the fun of Pirates Outlaws will remain the same. You’ll still be deck-building your way through a roguelike adventure, navigating seas and fighting your way through the Arena and Campaign modes.
All the classic features like ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combos, curses and different enemy races will be still there. To learn more about the game, head over to the official website.
