What does the PUBG 2025 roadmap mean for mobile?

The 2025 PUBG roadmap is out, and it has some exciting implications for PUBG Mobile. Krafton's ambitious plans include a transition to Unreal Engine 5, upgrades for current-gen consoles, and high-profile collaborations. While the roadmap focuses on the main PUBG game, many changes, like the addition of the Rondo map, have already trickled down to the mobile version. However, the emphasis on a "unified experience" across different game modes is particularly intriguing.

Currently, this unification refers to in-game modes, but the possibility of a broader unification, perhaps even merging the mobile and main game experiences or introducing cross-play modes, is certainly plausible.

The roadmap also highlights a stronger push towards User-Generated Content (UGC), mirroring the success of the World of Wonder mode on mobile. This focus on shared player content, as seen in the announced PUBG UGC project, draws parallels to competitors like Fortnite, suggesting a potential direction for future development.

Could a complete fusion of PUBG and PUBG Mobile be on the horizon? While speculative, the roadmap strongly suggests a significant evolution for PUBG, and it's highly likely that PUBG Mobile will see similar developments in 2025.
