The Sims Franchise Expands into Board Games with Goliath Games Partnership

The Sims franchise is venturing into the world of tabletop gaming with its first-ever board game, launching in Fall 2025. This exciting new project is a collaboration with Goliath Games, a leading manufacturer of toys and games.

Goliath Games promises a fresh and engaging physical interpretation of The Sims, with further details to be unveiled at the New York Toy Fair (March 1st-4th).

As part of its 25th-anniversary celebration, The Sims is expanding beyond the digital realm. Since its 2000 debut, The Sims has become a hugely successful video game franchise, boasting numerous titles, expansions, and updates. Despite the last main installment, The Sims 4, launching in 2014, the franchise continues to thrive through ongoing content additions.

Jochanan Golad, CEO of Goliath Games, expressed his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing his company’s expertise in creating immersive physical games. He assured fans the board game will offer a unique Sims experience while remaining true to its core gameplay.

Lyndsay Pearson, Vice President of Creative Franchise for The Sims, highlighted the significance of this milestone in the franchise's 25th year, praising Goliath Games' ability to create a fun and engaging board game. The Sims Board Game will have a global release at major retailers, with more information released closer to the launch date.

At the New York Toy Fair, Goliath Games will offer more insight into the game's design and mechanics. While specifics are currently under wraps, both companies aim to translate key Sims elements—character creation, relationships, and personal growth—into the board game format. This innovative addition to the franchise will appeal to both Sims fans and board game enthusiasts alike.
