BuchioGames has launched their dimension-shifting action title, SNO Snow White, on mobile. This innovative game uniquely blends 2D side-scrolling action with 3D puzzle-solving. Remarkably, it's been a solo six-year development project by a single indie creator.
Snow White Is No Princess in This Tale
The game unfolds in a sci-fi setting on a mysterious frozen world named Snow White. As a 2D side-scroller, it has you running, jumping, avoiding traps, and confronting bizarre enemies.
You assume the role of Global, a veteran hero of the AI Wars, who travels to the ice planet to find an old ally. Instead, you're swiftly drawn into a much larger mystery.
Now, let's discuss the game's standout feature: the AD Mode, or Another Dimension Mode. Here, the perspective shifts to first-person 3D, requiring you to use physics-based tools to manipulate elements invisible from the 2D view.
A key gadget is the AD Ball. By tossing it into the unseen dimensional space, you can pull objects into your reality. Use it to transform walls into walkways, create new paths, or activate hidden devices previously beyond your perception.
Level design follows a metroidvania structure. Expect interconnected areas, secrets in seemingly unreachable places, and new abilities that unlock whole new regions as you progress. The puzzles grow increasingly complex and conceptual the deeper you venture.
A Vast World Awaits in SNO Snow White
While exploring the planet's abandoned labs, frozen ruins, and decaying tech, fragments of its unsettling past emerge. You'll uncover old archives, AI logs, and clues pointing to a disturbing history on Snow White.
SNO Snow White is now available on the Google Play Store. The free version offers 2-4 hours of gameplay, with the full experience accessible via a single in-app purchase. The complete game provides over 20 hours of ad-free, paywall-free story content. Also, stay tuned for our next update on Haikyu!! Fly High Global.
