New Additions to No Return Mode:

No Return Mode is set to receive two new characters: Bill and Marlene from *The Last of Us Part I*. Bill embodies the "Smuggler" playstyle, equipped with a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receiving double rewards. He is stronger against melee attacks but cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, adopts the "Risk Taker" playstyle with a Custom Assault Rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, allowing her to reroute her path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are being introduced to No Return Mode: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Each map brings unique settings and challenges, enhancing the variety and excitement of the gameplay experience.

All new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 and PC simultaneously through a free 2.0.0 patch on launch day.

Sony has also introduced an optional PSN log-in for *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC. Logging in with a PSN account grants access to the PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's new PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*. This skin will also be unlockable for PS5 players via the 2.0 patch.

In related news, *The Last of Us* director Neil Druckmann discussed *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* in an interview with Alex Garland. The game, which has been in development for four years, explores themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, with Tati Gabrielle starring as Jordan A. Mun.

The PC release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* coincides with the anticipation for Season 2 of HBO's TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, previously omitted from Season 1.
