Stellar Blade PC Release Could Be Coming Soon

Shift Up's Stellar Blade: PC Release on the Horizon, Plus Exciting Updates!

Shift Up executives recently hinted at a potential PC release for their acclaimed action RPG, Stellar Blade. This news emerged from their June 25th IPO press conference, where CFO Ahn Jae-woo expressed interest in a PC version as a lucrative way to further monetize the IP. This decision, according to Ahn, considers the current PS5 market share and the growing shift of AAA game players towards PC platforms.

CEO Kim Hyung-Tae corroborated this, confirming that a PC version is under review, though a release date remains undisclosed due to contractual obligations. The company's public filings further support these plans, also indicating consideration of a sequel. Kim emphasized their commitment to building a high-value IP, fostering a global fanbase, and avoiding potentially damaging microtransactions.

Beyond the PC port, Stellar Blade’s future looks bright with a robust roadmap of updates and collaborations. An August Photo Mode update, October costume additions, and a major collaboration later in the year are all planned. Regarding the recent collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim stated that they are exploring opportunities for synergistic benefits between the IPs.

Stellar Blade's success is undeniable. Shift Up reports approximately one million copies sold globally within two months of its late April release. The game also achieved top rankings in major markets like the US and UK across sixty different stores, and boasts a remarkable 9.2/10 Metacritic score, earning "Universal Acclaim" as a PS5 exclusive.
