Wuthering Waves: The Last Knight Quest Walkthrough

Author : Allison Feb 26,2025

This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. This quest, while less grand than the main storyline, offers a charming glimpse into life outside Ragunna City and provides worthwhile rewards.

Quick Links

The Last Knight is unlocked after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's highly recommended to finish the main questline before exploring Rinascita extensively, as many side quests are locked until Chapter 2 Act 3 is completed.

Starting the Quest

Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's usually found near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries Performance

This involves defeating the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. This enemy is relatively straightforward to defeat.

Mimic Chests Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, locate Carlow near a large purple flower at the tallest tower in town. Interacting with the flower transports you to an area with several chests. The first three are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Opening it yields Astrites and other rewards, but be prepared to fight the mimic chests afterward.

Following the Knight's Trail

This involves visiting locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight, following quest markers and speaking with NPCs.

Following a strange scent leads to a battle with a unique Chop Chop and invulnerable Leftless and Rightless enemies. Using a Questless Knight Echo is highly recommended for this encounter, allowing for parrying and stunning. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the truth about the "legendary knight."

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day. Find Carlow in a town plaza; he'll be challenged by knights. The quest concludes after Carlow accepts a duel, signifying his shift in perspective. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources upon completion.
