The tingklik is a traditional Balinese instrument crafted from bamboo blades and played by striking them with a beater known as a "tingklik pelvis." The Tingklik Gamelan ensemble includes two primary instruments: the Tingklik Polos and the Tingklik Sangsih. A single tingklik typically features between eleven and twenty-five bamboo blades. The number of blades used varies depending on the musical scale employed. It is played with both hands: the right hand performs the kotekan (melody), while the left hand provides the bun (rhythm). Sometimes, the right hand plays the sangsih (ornamental) part and the left hand plays the polos (basic) part.
