HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is set to bring the thrilling world of open-world hunting to mobile devices, complete with all the excitement of its PC counterpart. Developed by Nine Rocks Games, the game first launched on PC and consoles in August 2022, quickly gaining recognition for its immersive hunting experience.

What Can You Expect on Mobile?

While mobile devices may not match the graphical fidelity of high-end PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC content will be available post-launch. Currently in beta testing, THQ Nordic and HandyGames are gearing up for a mobile release soon. For those eager to join, HandyGames has shared a form for interested players to sign up for the closed beta test. To participate, visit their official X account.

Is It the Ultimate Hunting Simulation?

Way of the Hunter challenges players to think strategically and patiently, offering a realistic simulation of hunting. Set across expansive open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, the game provides a massive 55-square-mile playground filled with lifelike wildlife. Players can choose from a range of authentic hunting tools, from rifles to bows, and even analyze blood splatters to refine their tracking skills.

Check out the game in action below:

The ecosystem dynamically responds to your actions, meaning reckless shooting can lead to unintended consequences. Scare off too many deer in one area, and they'll relocate elsewhere.

In addition to its engaging gameplay, Way of the Hunter features an in-game economy where players can sell hunted meat to purchase upgraded gear, hunting passes, and taxidermy trophies for their lodges. The game includes both campaign and co-op modes, with full controller support on mobile.
