Jump King: 2D Platformer Hits Mobile Worldwide with Expansions

Jump King, the notorious 2D platformer that has become a rite of passage for gamers who enjoy a good challenge and a potential rage-quit, has now made its way to mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has been released globally for Android and iOS following a successful soft launch in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark earlier this year in March.

What’s Jump King on Mobile Like?

In Jump King, you take on the role of an armored protagonist with a singular mission: to jump. The game's core mechanic is deceptively simple—you jump. However, mastering these jumps requires precision and patience, as any misstep sends you plummeting back to the start. Every jump you make is autosaved, adding to the game's intense challenge.

The ultimate goal is to reach the summit and encounter the legendary Smoking Hot Babe. But don't expect any easy shortcuts; one poorly timed leap can erase all your progress, forcing you to start from the bottom once again.

The mobile version maintains the precision of its PC and console counterparts, with controls adapted for touch screens. To jump, you simply hold to charge and release to leap. It's a test of precision, patience, and sometimes, the panic that leads to poor decisions.

What Else Should You Know?

Jump King Mobile introduces a heart-based system to the gameplay. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one each time you fall. To replenish your hearts, you can spin a daily fortune wheel, which rewards you with between 10 and 150 hearts. Alternatively, you can watch ads to gain up to 150 free hearts when you run out.

The mobile version comes packed with two full expansions: New Babe+ and Ghost of the Babe. New Babe+ introduces a second chapter with a unique and intense new path, while Ghost of the Babe offers a third act set in a hauntingly empty landscape beyond the Philosopher’s Forest.

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, you can download Jump King from the Google Play Store.
