READY! for Kindergarten stands as the leading school readiness program.

READY! for Kindergarten is the flagship school readiness program from The Children's Reading Foundation, created for children aged 2 to 5 or for older children who may need support with foundational skills.

The READY! for Kindergarten app equips you to prepare your child for all future learning and school success through interactive gameplay. Each game focuses on developing a specific core skill. They are designed for repeated play, as young children learn best with abundant repetition in a nurturing and supportive setting.

Tap the "i" icon in the lower-right corner of each game to learn more about the specific skill it teaches.

As your child plays, the app sends data to the reports section, allowing you to track progress in each skill area. These reports compare your child's achievement with that of other similarly-aged children in the U.S., helping you identify and focus on areas where they may need extra support.

For children aged 2 to 5, our app's games teach skills such as singing the ABCs, matching letter shapes, practicing letter sounds, expanding vocabulary, counting to 30, and recognizing emotions.

The cornerstone of the READY! program is its 26 Age-Level Targets—measurable skills a typical 5-year-old should master before starting kindergarten. These research-based targets were developed by early learning experts through close collaboration with families, scientists, and educators over seven years.

READY! for Kindergarten received a Top 100 Award for programs from District Administration Magazine in 2013.
