Roblox's Rivals Update 9: New Gunblade Weapon and Bridge Map

The popular Roblox first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has received Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and a new map, Bridge. Developer Nosniy Games provided patch notes detailing these additions, along with minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it still offers significant new content.

The Gunblade, a versatile combination rifle and blade, is a natural fit for Rivals' fast-paced gameplay. Its dual functionality—ranged attacks and melee combat—offers strategic advantages, particularly on the new Bridge map. This close-quarters combat arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features a suspended concrete structure with limited cover, forcing intense encounters.

This update prioritizes the new content, foregoing bug fixes, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements for this release. Minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, along with renaming some weapons (Hexxed to Vexed), were included. However, Nosniy Games assures players that these and other improvements will be addressed in the next major update, which will notably include the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated their commitment to incorporating player feedback and ensuring all necessary changes are implemented before the Ranked mode launch. Since its release last May, Rivals has consistently received updates. Update 7, for instance, introduced the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, and Crossbow. OTHER:

• Minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins.
• Renamed weapons: Hexxed Flare Gun to Vexed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle to Vexed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed.
