Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author : Lily May 12,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, Bethesda seems poised to finally unveil the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The official announcement is set for tomorrow at 8:00 am PT/11:00 am ET, and will be live-streamed on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Bethesda hinted at the announcement with a striking image featuring a prominent "IV" against a backdrop that fans will instantly recognize as a nod to the iconic art from Oblivion. While the post didn't explicitly mention the game, the clues are unmistakable.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, fueled by various leaks. The first hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, indicating a remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, suggesting the project might have been scrapped, the rumors gained new life in January of this year when leaks suggested that Bethesda, with assistance from Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, which included images of the remake, further solidified these rumors.

If these latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the much-memed horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed insights into this long-awaited remaster.
