For fans of Magic: The Gathering eagerly awaiting the upcoming Final Fantasy set, June might feel like a distant dream. But fear not! Wizards of the Coast has just unveiled an exciting first look at over a dozen brand-new cards from the set, featuring iconic characters like Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cecil, Garland, Chaos, and many more. This sneak peek not only showcases a variety of new cards but also includes stunning art variations, in addition to the four commander cards we've already seen: Tidus, Cloud, Y'shtola, and Terra.

Among the highlights are powerful legendary cards such as Sephiroth and Cecil, as well as a fresh take on the Food token art. You'll also spot art variations on beloved cards like Stilzkin, Moogle Merchant; Sin, Spira's Punishment; and the intriguing Summon: Shiva. You can explore the full gallery below:

Today's reveal also sheds light on some unique features of the set, including the introduction of Summons. These are Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon for assistance in battle, as exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Moreover, the set brings back the popular double-faced cards, with Cecil's dual nature as a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin showcased beautifully.

The Final Fantasy set is set to dazzle with over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards, some illustrated by fan-favorite artists from the rich tapestry of Final Fantasy's history.

This highly anticipated set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal, launching on June 13. Alongside the main set, four preconstructed Commander decks themed around Final Fantasy games 6, 7, 10, and 14 will be available. Each deck comprises 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing ones, all adorned with fresh Final Fantasy art. Get ready to dive into this magical crossover on June 13!
