Marvel Snap's Latest Season: Prehistoric Avengers Takes Players Back to the Stone Age

Author : Charlotte May 13,2025

Curious about the origins of the Avengers? Ever wondered what Odin was up to before Thor and Loki came into the picture? Or who exactly is Agamotto, the legendary figure behind the Eye? Marvel Snap's latest season, Prehistoric Avengers, dives deep into these fascinating backstories and more.

This season introduces prehistoric versions of the Avengers, bringing characters like the first Black Panther, the original Phoenix host Firehair, Agamotto, and Khonshu into the fray as collectible cards. These aren't your typical heroes; they come with intricate and powerful abilities that can turn the tide of any game.

A highlight of this season is the introduction of a new card type: Skills. These cards represent specific actions and abilities rather than characters. When played, they are Banished—meaning they're gone for good—and while they have no Power, they are cost-effective, requiring less Energy to play.

Adding to the excitement, two new locations are introduced: the Star Brand crater, which boosts your energy if you have the highest power there, and the Celestial Burial Ground, where you can discard a card and replace it with another of the same cost. These new environments offer fresh strategic opportunities.

The season also features new Spotlight Caches, showcasing both classic and new high-level cards. Alongside these, variant card art and the return of the High Voltage mode promise to electrify your Marvel Snap experience, speeding up the pace of your matches.

Before you jump back into the game, make sure you're not caught off-guard with a suboptimal deck. Check out our comprehensive tier list of Marvel Snap cards, ranked from best to worst. Even if you have different opinions, our detailed analysis might give you new insights into your card choices.
