InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's unique blend of the unusual and paranormal. Players will have the opportunity to engage with ghosts, albeit with limited control, ensuring that these supernatural elements enhance rather than dominate the core gameplay experience. This feature is intricately linked to a karma system that meticulously tracks characters' actions and profoundly impacts their future lives—even extending its influence into the afterlife.
The karma system plays a pivotal role in determining a character's fate post-mortem. Depending on their deeds, characters may either transition peacefully into the afterlife or find themselves transformed into ghosts, bound to roam the earthly realm. To break free from this spectral existence, ghosts must accumulate the necessary karma points to move on.

In the early access version of InZOI, players can already encounter ghosts, though the ability to control them will be introduced in future updates. The developer has stressed that InZOI is fundamentally a game focused on real-life experiences, with paranormal elements carefully integrated to maintain a balance. However, Game Director Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim has hinted at the possibility of introducing other mysterious and unexplained phenomena to enrich the game's universe in the future.
