Today, Capcom presented a Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, detailing all the new content coming to the latest installment of the Monster Hunter franchise. The presentation covered Title Update 1, new cosmetic DLC, a few surprise features, and a preview of the next major title update.
Title Update 1 will be released on April 4, 2025, as a free download for all Monster Hunter Wilds owners. Alongside the update, a selection of free and paid DLC will also become available. A new social hub will give hunters more ways to connect, fresh armor and cosmetic items will elevate the fashion scene, and new fearsome monsters are waiting to be challenged.
We now have a confirmed date, full details, and further information on the next major update for Monster Hunter Wilds. Which part of the upcoming content are you most excited about? Share your thoughts below!
A New Hub For Hunters

The showcase began by introducing a new endgame hub for hunting groups. Named the Grand Hub, this area offers a variety of activities. Hunters can share a meal, compete in arm wrestling, or enjoy the Diva's evening performances. A Barrel Bowling mini-game is also available—players can earn vouchers for it through different in-game activities and unlock additional rewards.
You can unlock the Grand Hub by reaching Hunter Rank 16 and speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives

As announced, Mizutsune is the headline addition in Title Update 1. This agile monster uses swift tail attacks, water jet assaults, and a range of other abilities that can easily catch hunters off guard. Once you reach HR 21 or above, head to the Scarlet Forest and accept the quest from Kanya. Defeating Mizutsune also unlocks new gear to craft.
Additional Hunts on the Way
A new Event Quest will introduce Arch-tempered Rey Dau to Monster Hunter Wilds. Arch-tempered monsters are a tier above standard Tempered encounters, offering a formidable challenge. This quest requires HR 50 or higher, and successful hunters will gain access to a new armor set.
Zoh Shia is also receiving a dedicated hunt. Previously, players only fought Zoh Shia once during the main story. With the new update, hunters at HR 50 or above can challenge Zoh Shia again through special quests and craft new armor from the rewards.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners can test their skills in new Arena Quests, where hunters compete for the fastest completion times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with participation and performance rewards including special pendants. These quests can be accessed via the counter in the Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, one of the busiest handlers in the game, is finally receiving customization options. Players can change her attire using the appearance menu at camp, with one new outfit available for free. After completing a specific side quest, you can also change Alma’s glasses.

More DLC is on the way
A combination of free and paid DLC will launch alongside Title Update 1. Some content, such as classic gestures from earlier Monster Hunter titles, will be available for free in the store. Other items, like those included in Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, can be purchased separately or are included for owners of the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition. New stickers, additional outfits for Alma, and more are on the way.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
Additional Event Quests and Seasonal Events are also planned. Seasonal Events will temporarily transform the Grand Hub’s appearance and alter the available meals. During these periods, hunters can obtain limited-time equipment, gestures, decorations, and more.
The first Seasonal Event, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, begins on April 23, filling the world with pink cherry blossoms and themed decorations. Capcom also confirmed that most past events and Event Quests are expected to return in the future.
The Roadmap Ahead

Here is the rollout schedule for Title Update 1 and its accompanying content over the coming months. Title Update 1 goes live on April 3 for players in the U.S., with the Blossomdance event starting on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, and by the end of May, additional features and a Capcom collaboration will debut.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

To conclude the presentation, Capcom teased Title Update 2, scheduled for release this summer. While no specific date has been announced, a brief image hinted at the return of a highly anticipated monster: Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, which appears to be causing havoc on land.
Capcom’s newest entry in its acclaimed monster-hunting series achieved impressive numbers at launch, and with Title Update 1, the company is establishing the update rhythm for the foreseeable future.
