Monster Hunter Wilds: A Fresh Look at Weapon Design
Concerns regarding weapon design similarity in Monster Hunter: World have been addressed by Monster Hunter Wilds Director Yuya Tokuda. While World weapons often shared a base design with variations based on materials, Tokuda confirmed that Wilds features entirely unique designs for each weapon.
This directly contrasts with Monster Hunter: World, where many weapon lines, even at their highest upgrade levels, retained significant visual similarities. The image below showcases this issue, comparing the final Aqua and Bone weapon sets to their Pukei-Pukei and Jyuratodus counterparts respectively.
