Apex Legends First ALGS in Asia Goes to Japan

Apex Legends has revealed the location of the ALGS Year 4 Championships! Read on to learn more about the announcement and further details on ALGS Year 4.

Apex Legends Announces First Offline Tournament in AsiaApex ALGS Year 4 Championships to be Held in Sapporo, Japan from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 2025

Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Championships will be held in Sapporo, Japan, featuring 40 elite teams vying for the Apex Legends global competitive esports tournament title. The event will be at the DAIWA House PREMIST DOME from January 29, 2025 to February 2, 2025.

This will be the first ALGS offline tournament in Asia, following events in the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany. "This year is special; we're having our first LAN event in APAC," EA announced.

"ALGS has a large Japanese community, and we've seen requests for a Japanese offline event," said EA senior director of Esports John Nelson. "We're thrilled to celebrate this with a tournament at the DAIWA House Premist Dome."

The tournament specifics and ticket information for Apex's first offline ALGS event in Asia are expected to be announced later. "We are incredibly honored that the DAIWA House Premist Dome has been selected as the venue for this global esports tournament," Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto said. "The entire city of Sapporo will be supporting your tournament and we warmly welcome all the athletes, officials and fans."

As the ALGS Year 4 Championships in Sapporo approaches, fans can anticipate the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), which will occur from September 13 to 15, 2024. The LCQ will provide teams one final chance to qualify for the championship, and fans can watch to discover the bracket of finals qualifiers during the LCQ broadcast on the official @PlayApex Twitch channel.
