EOS joins Battle Crush lineup

NCSoft has unexpectedly announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), Battle Crush. This is surprising, given the game never reached a full, polished release. While it had a global test in August 2023 and early access in June 2024, its lifespan is surprisingly short.

Battle Crush's Shutdown Date

Battle Crush will officially shut down on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have ceased, but refunds are available for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024.

Android and Steam players can request refunds from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content by November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward. The official website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for support inquiries. Social media and Discord servers will close on January 31st, 2025.

An Unsurprising End?

The sudden closure is undoubtedly disappointing for players who invested time and effort. However, those following the game's development might not be entirely shocked. Battle Crush faced challenges, with some players citing clunky controls and pacing issues. While enjoyable, it lacked the polish needed for long-term success.
