Want to avoid walking straight into a rainstorm? Check the rain radar and graph before you step out! With our Buienradar app, you can stay dry and well-informed about the weather conditions. Start with our 3-hour or 24-hour rain radar forecast to see if rain is on its way in the coming hours or the next day. Below the radar, you'll find the rain graph, which provides a detailed view of when it will rain and the expected amount of rainfall in millimeters. For a closer look at your city or town, simply zoom in using the magnifying glass icon.
The Buienradar app is available for your Android phone and tablet. Utilize the handy widget featuring the rain graph to quickly check if rain is expected without even opening the app. Plus, the Buienradar Wear OS app is back, allowing you to view the rain radar, rain graph, and the forecast for the coming hour directly from your smartwatch. Keep an eye out for more features coming soon. Note that the Buienradar Watch App is exclusively available in the Google Play Store for devices running Android Wear OS.
In addition to the rain radar, Buienradar offers a variety of other radars and maps, including drizzle, sun, NL satellite images, storm, pollen (for hay fever), sun (UV), mosquitoes, BBQ, temperature, feeling temperature, wind, fog, snow, EU Buienradar, and EU satellite images. You can access personalized weather information in the "Komende uren in" table, which provides hour-to-hour predictions for your favorite locations, even abroad. This includes temperature, feeling temperature, rainfall per hour, chance of rain, and wind force in Beaufort.
Beyond basic weather maps, we also provide data on wind chill, ground temperature, sun intensity, air pressure, gusts, visibility, and humidity, along with precise sunrise and sunset times for your location. Our seasonal radar maps cater to specific needs, such as pollen and mosquito radars in the summer to alert you when to use a mosquito net, and snow radar and ground temperature maps in the winter to warn about night frost.
For longer-term planning, the "14-daagse" tab offers a 14-day weather forecast in a graph format. You can also access a detailed list view by clicking on the "Lijst" tab, which provides an hourly forecast for the next 7 days and a daily average for the second week. Customize your experience with the "Meldingen" tab, where you can set up personalized rain alerts (free push notifications) based on your daily schedule and favorite locations, ensuring you're never caught off guard by rain or storms.
